The AuSB consists of 7 members comprising a Chairman appointed by the Government of Nepal from Fellow Chartered Accountants(FCA) and other members are representative of Ministry of Finance(MoF), representative of Office of the Auditor General(OAG), Three Chartered Accountants and One Registered Auditor nominated by the Government of Nepal on the recommendation of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal(ICAN).

He is the managing principal of J.N. Upadhyay & Company. He has over 26 years of experience in assisting clients with a wide range of assignments in accounting, auditing & internal control, due diligence, financial review, risk management & financial analysis, business advisory and consulting, taxation, and regulatory compliance.
His experience ranges in providing professional services to large national and multinational clients in tourism and hospitality, aviation, hydropower, health care, housing, banking and finance, manufacturing, trading, etc.
He has attended seminars and conferences of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal (ICAN), Security Exchange Board of Nepal (SEBON), and Accounting Standards Board of Nepal (ASB) in the USA, UK, Brussels, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, China, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Nepal.
He has been past President and council member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal (ICAN), member of the Accounting Standard Board (ASB), board member of the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA) (2018/19), chairperson of the AT Board of ICAN (2021/024), and worked as a chairperson and member of various committees of the ICAN in the past.
